The River Collection — Cypress Cathedral (Morning Waters II of V)
Morning light threads through hanging Spanish moss as a bowed cypress leans over still water, its roots mirrored in the surface below. The sepia palette and soft mist give the scene a hushed, interior quality — less like open landscape and more like a room the river has made for itself. The matte surface keeps the detail present and the atmosphere intact.
About the Series
Part II of V in the Morning Waters series, this piece considers the Southern river as landscape, passage, memory, and witness. The cypress and its reflection form a threshold — the river here is not just water but a place with its own architecture.

Choosing Your Size
The vertical symmetry of the cypress and its reflection rewards larger formats, where the mirrored detail reads clearly from a distance. The 36″ × 24″ and above allow the full composition to settle; the 24″ × 16″ works as a focused, intimate piece.
