The Steel Collection — Still Standing (Forged V of V)
A rusted bridge beam fills the foreground as warm, late-afternoon light spills across the river behind it. The composition places the structural element close and the landscape at a distance — the bridge is not background, it is the subject, and the light behind it is what gives the image its particular stillness.
About the Series
Part V of V in the Forged series, this piece studies the structures people build, the forces they endure, and the marks time leaves behind. The final image in the series returns to the bridge as a whole — still in place, still carrying the light.

Choosing Your Size
The foreground beam and background river create a layered composition that reads well at any size. Larger formats allow the contrast between the structural foreground and the open landscape behind it to register fully. The 24″ × 16″ works as a contained, grounded piece.
